Although we are just beginning the spring summer season, parades ready to wear haute couture and winter 2012 have been completed. Several trends have been sustained in 2011, as the use of leather, textile, gold, lace and transparencies, long skirts and rather feminine silhouette. But there were also changes and surprises. Little has been seen in the 2012 collections baggy pants and use the camel.
The VIBRANT COLORS AND COLOR BLOCK we've seen for summer 2011 have invaded several collections to adapt to winter in more subtle shades only.
The LANA has been one of the materials used to interpret dress and combine it with luxurious textures like satin. Designers like Alber Elbaz for Lanvin, Stella McCartney and Isabel Marant had woven and knitted garments in short versions but in different shapes, body, volume or puffed sleeves.
Following the type of dress, the red carpet of 2010 also had its influence on the collections, as several designers like Marc Jacobs, Celine or Phillip Lim presented DRESSES WITH LONG SLEEVES, in various lengths, knee, ankle or miniskirt version.
Another type, which we thought was left behind because of the emergence of baggy pants are the CIGARETTE that this year have returned and shiny metallic materials. Moschino, Nina Ricci and Marc Jacobs have joined this trend led in a few seasons for Balmain.
Following a figure that marks the body, the pencil skirt was one of the greatest additions to the fall winter 2012 catwalks. This garment was interpreted in various materials, prints and long, and is one of the fetish clothes of the season.
Every year Microtrends emerged, some with more force as the return of TARTAN and others such as moles and BICOLOR PANTS. These prints and combinations are starting to heat up the runway and probably see them more strongly in future collections.
